I pulled two premium tags this year, a Doe and a Buck tag. I also bought upland game and a pig tag. I'll be hunting from Sept 7 to the end of the year. When I start may depend on how good the offshore fishing remains, right now it's red hot with limits of Yellowfin Tuna. What tags did you draw and what is your game plans?

I'm going to do more waterfowl and upland bird hunting this year. My two GSP's are maturing and hunting with them afield should be really fun this year.

I might take a whitetail this year, but I'm not going to devote a lot of time for that pursuit. I don't know- the older I get the more I just want to hunt with my dogs. I'm not even going to try for elk this year unless it just 'happens'. Too much time to invest.

All bets are off on September 13th when teal season opens. At some point I'll have to pick up the bow to put some venison in the freezer, then back to the 12 gauge for regular duck, maybe a conservation goose hunt in Oklahoma at the end of the season, then back to completely unregulated Texas pig hunting until it gets too hot, then I'll watch basebal until duck season again.

I'm sorry, I keep laughing at the concept of a "pig tag"... You probably can't hunt with a 30 magazine clip per second assault weapon either...

At least one elk, and then depending on freezer space, as many deer as needed to fill the freezer. The deer hunt area I live in has unlimited number of deer. tags, either white tail or muley. If you want 5, just buy 5 tags, want 7, buy 7. The deer I can get and never get more than 200 ft from the cabin I live in.

Turkey and I might try some prairie chickens and pheasant.

Might go after elk. It's not too hard, drive up the mountain and shoot one eating the grass in the yard of a vacation home. Or just butt stroke one if it refuses to get out of the road.

Nah, I couldn't shoot a bambi.

I'm scheduled for a brown bear hunt in 2016. I've hunted moose in Alaska. Hands down, that was the best hunting experience I've ever had. You'll think about it every day for the rest of your life afterwards.

The morning of September 1 I will be in a blind bowhunting. In November I'll change over to a rifle, then a muzzleloader on 12/1 and back to rifle on Jan 1. I currently have 2 antlerless tags, and it gives me 2 bonus antlerless deer. I will shoot 4 if I can...and maybe 2 more. I hunt to fill the freezer and can some for the cupboard...because I can't afford to buy beef. I plan on taking my 13 year old out and seeing if she can get a buck.

I also plan on squirrel hunting, and maybe I'll pull a fall turkey permit.

Still use my AR but the loons got us down to 10 rounds of shoulder thingy that goes up and a bullet button but we are still at it. This is how it works in CA. They figured they could make money off tags so it's doubled in 2 years. Now that we have a pig problem they won't open the areas to archery, instead bringing in paid hunters to shoot them at night. Probably from the money taken in from tags. (head smack)

But the fishing has been wide open!

I certainly hope so. I also hope get a guided hunt this year in Wyoming as well. if it is just me, I do not really need a guided hunt, but I like them when I bring one of my daughters along.

Elk or HiW, can either of you recommend an outfitter or guide for hunts in Wyoming?
