NDOW announced, today, that they are kicking up the number of Elk tags for this year, by a bunch, and opening up areas that have been closed. It seems the Elk herds here are doing very well.
. I'm going to put in for a bow and muzzleloader tag. I hope to land the Jarbidge area. Up on the Idaho border, with Ely, White Pine county, as my second choice. Table Mountain would be sweet, but unlikely, but I'll toss it in as my third. Jarbidge would be best. This is that areas grand opening, and my Mom and her husband live up that way. Just down the highway, in Spring Creek. My Moms husband knows that area very well, and we would take their tin teepee up and have a comfortable camp.
I'm getting old. Dog tents and pine needles for shelter are not as readily acceptable any more. Lol. Twixt maybe landing and Elk tag. and for bow and muzzleloader bothe deer and Elk tags come more readily in area choice, and a Spring hog hunt, I'm hoping to have to buy another frezzer and dull up a few knives.
