AR15 "V-Drill" with fastest shooter EVER, Jerry Miculek! (Shoot Fast! excerpt) - YouTube

Superb speed and accuracy, but how would he deal with shots from around the left side of cover? :-) his red dot is on the wrong side of the gun for that. Often, we don't get to choose which side of cover we must fire around.

One of the top competitive shooters in the world demonstrates a practice drill, and you determine that something is "wrong" because his offset dot is on the wrong side of his rifle?

ROTFLMFAO!

that's right. are you trying to tell me that there's no need to be able to fire from the weak side shoulder?

Nope, not trying to tell you that. However, if had ever shot a rifle with right side mounted offset dot, you would know that shooting it from the left shoulder, whether around cover or not, is easily accomplished.

Armchair quarterback. If a person tries hard enough, they can find fault in anything. For the demonstration, I think he did a fine job.

LOL!

Clearly, you have never done it. You needn't expose any more of your torso then when shooting with a centerline sighting system.

I think you misunderstand what is going on. Demonstration shooters are doing just that, demonstrating a skill that has little to do with more than they are showing you.

Attributing anything more than entertainment goes beyond the purpose.

Not everyone runs around making everything into a real life transfer scenario. Some people have fun. Take Olympic 3 position smallbore. There is no relationship to all the hide and seek, duck draw and cover stuff, it is just a pure sport, plain and simple.

Not everything involving firearms must translate into a life or death scenario. Sometimes, it is exactly what it appears to be.
