I have built several blackpowder rifles, a custom stocked AR-7, and a AR-15-22, I do prefer the Blackpowder rifle kits as they are much more challenging to build

An old CVA Kentucky rifle kit! Cool! I have built two of them and one pistol. The Kentucky mate to the rifles. I was 12 when I did my first one. It how I learned to finish a stock and blue a barrel. My Dad showed me all the good basics. Good memories. I'd love to find another Kentucky kit. Rifle and pistol. Kits are getting harder to find and much more expensive than in my youth.

I've seen kits at all the usual places, but the prices have gone through the roof! Well, one has to pay for all those lawsuits where numpties use smokeless instead of black or pyrodex.

Does anybody have some good links for black powder kits? Post them, please.

This place has one of the largest selections a man could ask for. Anything and everything up to and even exceeding $1000. They skill level rate everything and explain the builds too. Click what type you want at the top of the page and it will take you to any your heart desires.

Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.

Thanks, I book marked it. I would like to build a particular weapon now that I am retired and can dedicate the time. Of course, now that I'm retired it seems like I have less time because of all of the projects I have lined up.

Wow, what a link huh? Word on the street is that is the place to buy stuff other places like Midway doesn't have. I think so, you can even build black powder shotguns and they have them.

Cabellas and Bass pro both carry kits, but as others have said, they are not cheap.
