A local anomaly in pricing doesn't change the fact that the current average price, nationwide, is approx. $50/brick. Is it everywhere? Nope. But very few people have the opportunity to purchase it at $18.

Care to PM me the name of the shop? I'd be interested to see where I can get ammo at that price.
Its a local tractor supply, and no, they don't ship.

though not often, I've still been able to get Fed (champ, automatch) and CCI (AR, etc) at both Gander and Cabelas for the .06-.08 range plus Gander has free ship right now. I've seen bricks in that 50 buck area but more often they've been at sites like PSA; I can only assume if Cabelas/Gander has a price online then it's at least close to what it is in stores?

Do people in central CA know about Gunbroker? There are hundreds of auctions where you could get .22LR in any quantity for about $0.10/round, and exactly zero of them have any bids. You'd think people in CA desperate for ammo would be snapping up those deals. It's just sitting there, not selling.

Or are there restrictions on buying ammo online in California? If so, you can't use your overly restrictive state as a representation of what's going on nationwide.
