really enjoy shooting my Bushmaster and do ok with the factory sights.

However, I cannot decide on a good optic/glass for it.

Want something with good eye relief, power around 4x, price range in the $200.oo-250.00.
Illuminated ??.

Any thoughts or experience re: this.

You can sometimes catch this on sale in your price point.

Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm P5 Dial Riflescope, Matte Black FREE S&H 115387, 115388. Leupold Mark AR Rifle Scopes, Leupold Mark AR AR15 Accessories, Leupold AR15 Rifle Scopes.

Out of all my scopes (and I have a few), the Leupold is by far my best. Great optics.

I have a Nikon M-223 4x16 on my AR platform. Also a good scope but I varmint hunt with it. It's outside your price point.

Many makers are putting out good, small scopes designed for the AR platform. I'd throw in .02 cents as to what range you think you will be shooting and what will you be hunting?

The 15 is wayyyyy more than the old .223 used to be. I've got several uppers in different calibers and some are good out to a few thousand yards and some have ballistics like a mortar

Good luck. When I first got my AR and started looking for a scope, the selection is endless. It's very daunting. When I get the funds, I'm probably just going to pick something that has decent reviews and go with it.

I really like my CQB from Primary ARms. It's only 2.5, and has short eye relief.
But it's neat.

They have a 4x in the works.
