The original intent was to require something like a screwdriver to remove a bolt. But a tiny recessed button that releases the magazine when pressed by a pointy metal object meets the letter of the law, and a bullet can be considered a "tool".

So an AR with a bullet button mag release is legally allowed to have all the evil features you want.
What is wrong with the folks making these laws? How about they just take the time to educate themselves about law abiding gun owners before making all of these gun laws?

I assure you that Feinstein and her in-state pals are quite educated about law-abiding gun owners. The problem is that they just don't care.

As does most Royalty. Just put them in office and they immediately all behave the same.

I thought the exact thing! God bless the Rocky Mountains, where sanity generally prevails at least once in a while!

I then thought somebody ought to invent a ring you wear that does the job but I guess all this freedom has dulled my business sense and made me slow on the draw...

It was funny, I just drew a blank. As soon as the first person explained, I remembered. My brother is an armourer/FFL dealer in So Cal and he had told me all about it, a couple years ago, but being from a state that doesn't require them, I forgot.

Colorado is slowly and quietly following CAs lead so it's spreading.

Way I understand it
A retarded piece of metal that shrouds/covers/replaces the normal magazine release button or lever that detaches the magazine in a semi auto rifle which accepts detachable . You must use a "tool" to release the mag. Oh I think you're also limited to a max of 10 round magazines. It's about as retarded as it sounds.

You don't want to know about the monster grip. Looks about as sexy as it sounds.

That's only because Californians are fleeing to Colorado in droves.

The ones leaving aren't the ones you need to be worried about. Unless they are a Politician. I'm from CO and have a lot of old friends on FB and (many) are about as loony left as you can get. Especially thoughts about weapons. Denver and especially Boulder have always been fairly "progressive" so to speak.
