Its pretty open in Wyoming. Open carry is fine, as is. there is no permit require for concealed carry. Over half of the state is stated owned land, BLM, or Gov land and is wide open for hunting.
very true, I even read that in Wyoming, a person can keep a firearm on the seat next to them while driving. it doesn't mean that you should, it just means you can.

Sure, anywhere you want. Also, you don't have to volunteer that info. You know how some states, if you are carrying concealed and get pulled over, you must immediately tell the leo that you are carrying. Not so in Wyoming, is none of their business.

I've never really understood that law. How is the fact that I am carrying relevant to exceeding the speed limit, not stopping all the way at a sign, not using turn signal, etc? A routine traffic stop should not be a reason to have to disclose such info.
I live in Virginia, which is generally pretty pro-U.S. Constitution and by extension, 2nd Amendment. It is refreshing. I moved here from California where the state is very anti-U.S. Constitution and makes life as miserable as it can for legal gun owners. If Virginia's current governor had his way, we'd look a lot more like California, though.
Many people say NC is not gun friendly but if you can pass a background check and are not a criminal than you can get a carry and or purchase permit. Pretty sure you can open carry so except for the gamelands that seems to be for the younger showoffs.
We don't have gun registration but the gun retailers do keep a copy of all all gun purchases.
I don't have a problem with gun registration anymore than I do with vehicle registration because I don't buy into" The govt. is coming to take our guns". The 2nd amendment does allow for ownership so any talk of repeal is just another ploy by some to get others to join and support their organization.

That's because you are only looking at it from your point of view. The cop that pulls you over doesn't know that you are a good guy with a gun. Bad guys with guns also get pulled over for traffic infactions. Common sense says you show the cop your carry permit along with your DL. It's not going to get you out of a ticket but it will keep you from possibly being arrested or worse a police beating.

But bad guys with guns aren't likely to answer that question truthfully anyway, so I still fail to see the point. It's only the law abiding citizens who fall subject to this idiotic question, and they are not the problem to begin with. Pointless question. If I knew I was getting a ticket anyway I'd likely ask the officer why he's asking. I don't have a gun in my car so I'm not required to divuldge that. But if asked, I'd demand to know why he's asking before answering the question. Politely, of course, but assertively.
The government has no business knowing how many guns I own.
The end game of registration is confiscation. We have already seen that in some states.
You may be right but if the govt. wants your guns their gonna take em and there is nothing you're gonna do about it.
BTW 2nd amendment says you're allowed to own guns. The states do have the right to regulate but there are not enough votes in congrees, now or ever to do away with the 2nd amendment, now matter how many times the gun lobby tells you it could happen.

Regulate, but not infringe. Many states (I'm looking at you, California) take it to the level of infringing. Take conceal carry, for example. Any state that is going to regulate conceal carry (I believe Wyoming and Montana do not) should be a "shall issue" state at minimum. "May issue" is an infringment because a state wage flunky decides if a citizen will or will not be allowed to exercise constitutional rights. California and New York's ludicrous levels of regulation are designed to make gun ownership not worth the hassle. "Regulating" is at best a legal loop hole, and at worst, unconstitutional. We are seeing more and more of these infringements masquarading as regulations being struck down by the Suprem Court.
