Want to hear from owners what their opinions are of these .22lr rifles. How long have you owned them, would you buy the same rifle again?

15-22 is great. shoots most all ammo. and you can treat it like any other AR.
easy to operate and maintain. and can be picked up under $400 (might take some searching).

i had a spare compensator and some magpul furniture and i slapped them on my 15-22. the thing shoots like a bb gun. very fun toy.

I had the M4 Ops. It was OK, but it didn't like certain types of ammo. Namely the Remington Golden Bullets; would jam every 5 rounds or so. I hear that's just a problem with that ammo in general, but the rifle just did not like it. It ate most other .22LR with ease, as long as it was high velocity. Especially CCI Velocitor/Mini-Mags.

It was also a bit of a PITA to take apart to clean; had a ton of little springs and plungers in the receiver area that could be easily lost if you weren't careful.

I ended up selling it and getting the 15-22. Much happier with it. Only complaint I have with the 15-22 is that it feels like a toy.

I came very close to getting the M&P15-22, but the availability of .22lr gave me reason to hesitate. I still want one, but I'm not sure I'll ever get one at this point. I'm sure eventually .22lr will be plentiful again, and maybe I'll reconsider it at then. For now shooting other calibers is easier because there is actually ammo available. I like to be able to replace what I use.

15-22 is what i have. great little shooter. and yes, can be picked up relatively cheap if you have some patience.

like everything else, finding mags will be a pain. i usually buy the 10 rounders (in 35 round bodies) and trim the follower down.

I have the 15-22. I looked at the colt and went with the 15-22 because it seemed closer to an AR. There were a few issues with the colt on build quality and it seemed nearly everyone loved the 15-22. That being said I also have an AR built with a bull barrel specifically for 22 from Spikes tactical and also a Sig 522. I have to say by far my favorite is the Sig.
Lucky for me before ammo went really scarce I bought 25K rounds of 22.

I have an HK MP5-22. That thing eats any ammo I feed it. I have shot probably 1,000 rounds and I don't recall a malfunction. Highly recommended. Others seem to have the same experience.
