I'm wanting to mount a bipod on my ruger 10/22 takedown. My rifle has the polymer stock and has no sling posts.

I'm not sure if I can drill into it to install a front sling post to mount the bipod to. What's other ideas?

Maybe a Picatinny Barrel Band, and use a Picatinny mount bipod.

Take the stock off an look on the inside. Sometimes they mold with an extra wide/thick rib that often has a molded round indentation specifically made for mounting the front post. Not all, but some do.
