There are plenty of us who would say, "Get out, or I'll shoot." And we're "properly trained." You can make book on that.

LOL, no. The Judge is a poor choice for defense. The .410 shell is a snake round. It will not penetrate clothing even at close range. The .45 round it can shoot will most definitely go through a few walls before stopping if you miss your target. Not to mention it's a large round. Most people wouldn't be able to control it while firing.

This guy can explain it better than I can.

Talking PTR 51P PDW (assuming you don't have any neighbors or kids)

Consider that one advantage you have as the defender is that you don't have to worry about weight or concealment. The attacker has to haul their weapon with them to the crime scene and then haul it home again, and worry about it being seen.

As a defender, you can go big, and go heavy, and never have to carry your gun more than 50 feet. Length is a concern, but that can be mitigated with practice or with an SBR.

If you have no neighbors, I recommend the PTR 51P PDW. If the bullet doesn't get them, the muzzle blast will

You may want to consider flameproofing the drapes.

You don't have to have perfect aim with a shotgun. The shot will spread out and you will have a better chance of hitting your target.
It spreads out to about a fist-wide pattern across a small room. Maybe 2 fists in a larger room.

A shotgun shot won't go through multiple walls and cause unintended damage to someone else.
It most certainly will. 5.56 won't in some cases, will in others. My shotguns are loaded with nothing smaller than #1 Buck, and yes, it certainly goes through walls.

The sound of chambering a shell in a pump shotgun is enough to scare people sometimes.
I don't want to let an armed intruder know my position. If you do, that's your opinion and all.

Yep. Old wives tale regarding "racking a shotgun". You BETTER have a round in the chamber and the safety off if you ever pick up a weapon to defend yourself.

Novelty gun at best. Do you know ANYONE that would choose "The Judge" for a life or death SHTF firearm?

Wrong. 00 buck will penetrate more than a 9mm or even a 5.56.

Get a loud dog or move to a safer area. No one around here thinks they need a gun. A few have them for hunting and even people who only have them for hunting have been known to kill each other by accident. (my own cousin is one.)

Sure, its like everybody can sell they're house and fork out thousands to move. Like that's going to happen. The second amendment says I don't have to move. Sorry about your cousin, but.....
