I always had a huge crush on Lynne Russell. Just a gorgeous woman. Glad she and her husband survived this senseless attack.

Depends if he's a gooey duck or snapping turtle.

I did not get one thing... Why the guy waited until the robber started shooting? He got a gun, he knew the robber was armed, he was in his residence with his wife, and he was a former green beret... He shouldn't wait till being shot. Something in the news report ain't right

At this point I doubt they care what the law was.

Who cares?

That's the problem in this country. Law-abiding people are being pushed around and have to be ever so careful that they dont [gasp!] protect themselves in a way that might not be in accordance with the law.

These two and their dog were minding their own business when this creep who'd clearly been watching them accosted her, alone, outside and asked for a cigarette. She said she didn't smoke, and went inside. He was still hanging arouund went she later went to their car, and that's when he attacked.

They're licensed to carry, and it saved their lives.

Exactly. I travel a lot for work, and to some 'not so friendly' locations. I would, hypothetically speaking, prefer to carry a firearm and have it with me in the hotel or motel. Of course I will not confirm or deny that I do, but I would certainly agree with someone who does just that.

And of course, I could give a rats butt what 'corporate policy' is regarding traveling with a firearm or what the 'law' says, because as you know neither will protect you in the event of an attack or intrusion. It's not like the other guy is going to go "Oh, okay- I understand you can't have a firearm- I'm sorry to have disturbed you. Have a great night."
