I'm not arguing that .223/5.56 can't penetrate hard objects like steel and concrete better than pistol rounds. I'm saying that handguns through drywall penetrates more because of the shear weight. Even the video you posted they said that the .223 fragmented by to first or second wall. The 9mm kept going.

Yeah, there's bookshelves with books, insulation, furniture, and other things that slow down bullets. Ultimately shooting inside your home is dangerous, however the assumption that pistol rounds penetrates less than .223/5.56 is false.
