I know they got bought out by Bass Pro but their mailer is an outright lie. As of Jan 1st 2018 CA residents can't buy brass and bullets online? Total 100% lie!! Loaded ammo only has to go to an FFL.
Come on, magazines too? I'm inclined to never use them again if deception is their marketing strategy.

Or is their leadership that flaky? That's not a good business plan.

The Penal Code in question is
Quote:
16150.

(a) As used in this part, except in subdivision (a) of Section 30305 and in Section 30306, “ammunition” means one or more loaded cartridges consisting of a primed case, propellant, and with one or more projectiles. “Ammunition” does not include blanks.

If this change helps keep guns outta the hands of nut jobs seeking to do harm then I'm all for it.!

Now there's a thought.

Some nut job standing in the street going "bang, 'bang, bang" cause he can't buy ammo for his new Ar15

It could be just their policy, they have a right to not sell to anyone they do not wish to sell to. I owned a gun and pawn shop years ago and refused to sell rifles and shotguns to people from contingent states because the law was to vague and ambiguous that I did not wish to take a chance of breaking the law, how would I know the laws of the other state, county or city back then.

Here's how to fix your problem. Then everything you want shipped to your door.

" Getting your FFL license is easier than you think. In less than a couple of hours of work, four easy steps, and less than $200, you could become a legal weapons dealer or firearm manufacturer in the United States. Getting a Federal Firearms License (FFL) is a good move".

It won't. Chicago has the toughest gun laws in the country and they have thousands of shootings a year.

Fact is, the TX shooter would have failed the background check that was already required if the law had been upheld. More laws are not the answer. The answer is to enforce the ones we have, and to change the culture.

So we're down to "off the wall" ideas now.

That said, all that need happen is create a program where lot's of people carry guns to vastly shorten the response time get a good guy shooter to the scene to take out the nut job shooter just like in Texas.

What will be next? Lot's of people packing Colt 45's in open carry leather holsters like the Old Western days!!

Crazy I know but history says that it will work.

Actually....yes, that will help in the short term.

But the longer-term solution is to change the culture of America. Why does it surprise us to see America in such poor shape morally when we see what Hollywood stands for? Seems every day now someone is being accused of a sexual crime. Look at the filth that Hollywood is putting out and America is eating it up.

Fact is, this stuff didn't happen in previous generations. So we have to ask what changed? Guns haven't become more common.

What's so off the wall about enforcing the laws we have on the books?

Not one darn thing were it not for the social changes that take law enforcement away from well trained police officers.

People are aware of another person packing a "weapon" and behave as such. Today they behave as "sheeple " (God, I hate that word) where as ,in the recent past, it was all able bodied persons duty to "keep the peace" even to the point of blood shed in the immediate absence of police / military.

The people are responsible to keep the piece at all times.

Chicago is a prime example of how population density affects the local human behaviors. Gun laws can't fix that.......
