There is one here this weekend. I do not plan to go.
Interestingly enough, the building where the gun show is being held is right next to the building where trump had his pro-rosendale rally Thursday night. I wonder if the SS allowed the gun owners to set up for the Friday morning show beginning?
For many years I went to gun shows hoping to spot a very distinctive rifle that was stolen from me in 1963. I finally gave it up as a very bad idea.
I have not been to a gun show in several years, but the last several times that I went to a gun show, I was looking for something very specific, like magazines for the H&K P7 PSP; or magazines for the FN PS-90; things that I could not find at my local gun store.
I attend gun shows on a regular basis and occasionally participate as a vendor. I have bought and sold many non-firearm items over the years at gun shows. I enjoy the banter with the local exhibitors, often learn something new, and am able to physically inspect anything I may be interested in. It's inexpensive fun if nothing else, and very satisfying whenever I am able to buy or sell something at a fair price. I very much enjoy the experience.
I rarely go to gun shows anymore, the venue they're held at (Arizona State Fair Grounds) charges $10 for parking, and $20 for the entrance, plus they don't want you carrying any concealed weapons.. It never used to be like this, if I remember correctly, parking was free, and the entrance was $5 up until the late 2000s. Crossroads Of The West Gun Shows are large and the participating vendors have a lot of good stuff, it's the venue, which is owned by the State of Arizona, that turns me away.
The last few gun show I've been to were all AR festivals. No variety of guns and gear. So I;ve passed on most of the shows that have come for a couple years now. I want to see more wheel guns, Western stuff, hunting guns and gear, competition pistol guns and gear....just break it up a bit ya know. Not everyone is strictly into ARs.
I continue to go to gunshows but not as often as in the past.
I do enjoy them and on occasion have come across some really good deals.
Going to a gun show can be a great way to spend a few hours to escape the scorching heat of the summer or the cold/dreary of the winter.
I also enjoy seeing the 'regulars' and the vendors are generally pretty good people esp down here in Georgia.
They're worth it for me when it comes to finding decently priced bulk ammo.
