I been in the gunshops looking and it seems like the reloading business is Booming-pardon the pun.....
Here they cant keep up and the prices are up too,on what the do have
Same thing here--midway's site kept crashing on us. When we could finally get through we had to take whatever primers they had in stock, couldn't choose the brand we wanted. Same with powder--
I hope the mfrs get caught up so we can have another chance to stock up before the executive orders start rolling out.
I still have quite a bit stored from a few years ago. mostly components for 30'06 , .308 , .30 M1carbine , 7mm 08 , .223/5.56 , 9mm and 40S&W.
Enough to last for a long time. Also plenty of 123 grn .311 Barnual bullets from way back.
My main concern from the soon-to-be new Administration are possible Exec Orders effecting "Military Style Steel Case Ammunition from the Russian Federation".
It could take a couple of years for other sources to fill the gap.
Better tell hubby to start restocking supplies. We haven't ordered in a couple of months and sounds like it won't be easy to get supplies or at least the prices will be high. Target shooting as a hobby is definitely not a cheap one any longer.
I went to a gun show yesterday, people were buying ammo like crazy i saw one person after another buying $2000.00 of ammo. I reload all of mine, I guess I should stock up on supplies. I think the rush here is because they are passing a bill to limite people tp 50 rounds a month.
I reload and keep a decent amount of powder, primers and bullets on hand. I also have bought a lot of 5.45, 7.62 and 9MM Makarov calibers for my Combloc stuff, AK's, SKS's, Makarovs. That stuff is cheap enough that I don't reload it, but its all getting scarce. My bet is once Obama/Congress go through a few months without talking about gun/ammo control or taxes, prices will go down. Like 1994, I think gun control is a losing argument for the Dems. Until then, hold on to your hats.

I talked to my dad today and he was at a gunshow in Northern Virginia yesterday and said the ammo sales were unbelievable...vendors were running out.
Yah, I know what you all mean. I am stocked up and plan to shoot less just practicing at the gun range.
I was in one store here in Wyoming and the man showed me two piles of reloading stock. Maybe enough to fill a pickup bed. This was for two men from colorado coming up to get that weekend. They had called ahead and used credit cards. The owner said that it was almost 20,000 dollars worth. He also said he had calls from people in MT,SD,other CO people as well as WY. As to his hours open and what he had. Most were coming in to purchase large. This was the saturday after obamma won.
Yesterday I was by two sporting goods shops and both had way more than usual for sunday customers.
I have seen alot of people buying multiples weapons and the ladies for first time buys also.
What makes me angry is one stroke of a pen and this guy can make it real hard on a honest gun owner. And still the criminals just laugh at everybody as they pick up the weapons to go commit a crime.
