Thought we could get a thread here going to discuss all things Glock.
First order of business. I'm ordering a Streamlight TLR-1 for my Glock 21 and want to get a set of night sights to accompany it. I'm leaning towards Meprolight since they make the stock Glock night sights, but would appreciate any input on the matter.
I have been thinking about a 17 in 9mm. A coworker has one and loves it and I like how tough they are. For anyone that qualifies, you can get a brand new one here for $430 shipped Glock 17 9mm Fixed Sights for Sale at Buds Gun Shop $430.00

Wow, that's a pretty good price. Thanks for the heads up!
Well, I'll throw my name into this thread, too. I have two Glocks, both are .40 S&W. One is a model 23, and the other a model 27. I may be interested in replacing the stock sights on them since I learned that they are plastic, while I was taking a firearms class earlier this year. I never realized that before. The instructor mentioned that he has heard of people breaking their sights while racking the slide on their jeans, using only one hand. He said it was good to be able to do so, but bad when your sights break off while doing so. He suggested upgrading to stronger (metal) sights, but did not mention any particular brand. Does anyone here have any suggestions, or comments on aftermarket sights they've used? I'm not looking for night sights, but would consider them if price is reasonable.
I have seen the night sights go for $20, just have to have the money on hand when they pop up.
I want to pick up a 9mm barrel and a .40 barrel for mine. Both are cheaper to shoot than the .357sig. I have a few thousand 9mm in the safe.
I tried for years to buy a Glock in 10mm from my father in law, he ended up selling it back to the nephew who sold it to him.
I was just reading an article in a magazine about why you shouldn't rack the magazine with anything besides your other hand... I never even knew people tried to do that and would never attempt it myself. I prefer to have complete control over the weapon.
I've got a 27 and used to have a 22c. I miss the 22c, but I don't particularly care for the 27. I should have kept the 22c.
Otherwise, glock makes a good, reliable and uninspiring gun. It's kind of like my beat up Toyota Corolla... while glocks lack style, they make it up with pure reliable utility. I still like Sig better though.
I like this thread- it's timely for me. I'm about to buy my first Glock, but need to test out a few more before I decide. Leaning towards the 23c.
