I wear hats, sometimes, not all the time because my hats don't go with all my outfits and clothes. So, I go bare when I'm out, but the sun keeps bleaching my hair lighter (like a reddish tint to it now). I feel like dying my hair again, but I think it's way too soon. I have dark brown shade.

So is there another way I can keep it from fading in the sun? Can I still wear headscarfs on my head or just get more hats and such?

You have to cover your hair. I have the same problem - my part-time job sometimes requires me to work outside in the sun, and I have to wear a baseball hat to protect my hair.

Choose cool/ash tones instead of warm tones. The AZ sun will always make warm tones turn brassy.

Thanks a million. I'll just wear more hats for now on then. I'll buy me some more to go with my other outfits. I'm starting to love hats anyway. Especially the ones with the floppy brims (sun hats). I'll get more headscarves too to go with some of my dresses. I used to wear them all the time anyway. Thanks.

You could also try a hair product that has suncreen for the hair in it. I did a quick google search.

sunscreen for hair - Google Product Search
