I once saw a black guy with cornrows getting a sew-in weave...

That seems very realistic to me...This idea that only gay guys would want more flush hair is kinda silly and really highlight's the frail insecurity many guys feel about their sexuality...

I mean after all, guys in the 80's...straight guys, were sporting all the Jerry Curls and waves...and they looked good...
(personally, I wish the Jerry Curls would come back, and all the other 80's and early 90's hair styles...)

And go back further to the 50's...and many black guys had their hair straightend and styled...

This is really notible on album covers from back then...

So this idea now, that to be a guy, you can't have any creativity at all what so ever towards your hair unless your gay, is out right ridiculious...

Your young once, and only have healthy hair once, why not relish it and explore all the creative possibilities one can...

Time and Space, I'm really glad that you started this thread. I recently took out my 4 year old dreadlocks and am now contemplating what to do with my short, remaining hair! I wish there was more info to be found on this very topic. I just sent you a friend request because I respect your perspective.

I know that it has been a while since you created this post, any updates? Did you ever take the plunge?

A lot of guys have extensions! For example: Lil Wayne, Omarion had them, and Fetty Wap. It's the new style and a lot of them put them in while their natural hair is growing.

Lol, nahhh. Seriously can't imagine any of the straight guys I know would even consider hair extensions...lol. Clowned right out the door! Women don't care if you're balding ; covering it up w/ some fake-ass sh*t is honestly worse lol.

The answer to the question is yes. Black guys wear extensions if the are going for that braided/dred look.

10 years ago, I would have vehemently laughed at your question and brushed it off with a quick "No". But we live in a different time and I can say, as a black man, there are literally other black men now with extensions for things like dreads and twist. The world has gone mad.

Busta Rhymes wore extensions about 10-15 years ago.
