Question Can a Cosmetologist Instructor at a Beauty School do your hair?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here knew if a Cosmetology Instructor can take hair appointments? A hairstylist recently fixed my hair color that he had messed up- it looks better than it did but I would like it highlighted Blonde alot more- the dark color in my hair is still in my hair way to much.

So that's why I was wondering if a Cosmetology Instructor is allowed to highlight someone's hair. As I can't afford to pay $75 or something to have someone else add more blonde highlights to my hair.
I wouldn't trust a student at a Beauty school to add more highlights to my hair- only an Instructor.

Thanks.

The instructor is there to instruct so I don't see her taking appointments unless she has her own business on the side. Whenever I went to the school, the instructor was always right there "instructing" and I was never unhappy with the results.

many instructors are no longer hands on after their instructor job so I would not want a instructor who is just teaching and no longer hands on doing my hair. Save your money up and go to someone who speicalizes in what you want do ie color or cut

AnywhereElse and Lavender,
Thanks for the replies. I ended up forking over a little more than $70 to have alot of blonde highlights added to my hair last week. Definitely looks alot better now.
