Why are Men so down on women who cut their hair short? (shave, male)

Most women I know who cut their long hair off to shorter styles did not look better. In most cases they saw the hairstyle on someone else and thought it was a great look. Not the case for most. Very few woman look better or as good with short hair, you really need the right face for it. Same as men who shave their heads bald, not all men have the head for it.

What about all the girls who have long hair and they constantly pull it up in a bun, I see that all the time, why have long hair if it's never down?

One of the reasons is that it's too hot! Having long hair is like having a down comforter on top of you when it's hot outside.

I'm not against women with short hair but it is not my preference, the same way many women feel about men with long hair
