I knew a guy who had a really long handle bar mustache that he liked to twist the ends into fine curled tips, he told me the best stuff he'd ever used was good ole fashioned bees wax.
My boyfriend uses the Redken putty. It's not real waxy, greasy, or shiny. It's almost matte when its on but it looks natural. I'm not real familiar with mens hair products I just know that every time I make a trip to Ulta I have to buy it for my boyfriend.
Occasionally, i will use the paste from Suave Pro. I do think it will be used best for really short hair....a very natural look. You can get a great deal from Amazon if you watch it from time to time.
