I give my lady a $20 bill for a $15.90 haircut. She does a good job so I like to tip her well.

I usually do $3. I just go to hair cuttery and get the ends trimmed as my hair is all one length. If I went to my normal lady to get my layers done, etc, it would be a $15 tip

My hair dresser charges $12 for cut only and gets $20 cash. Color/high lights $10 tip.

Either I'm confused by these responses, or we have got some really big tippers here. Do you also mean you would tip $15 for a $15 hair cut.....total of $30?

I usually tip 20% of the cost for hair services and I think that is generous.
