Love the long hair ... met my hubby while in college who had amazing blonde hair just past his shoulders. Sadly, he decided to ...get a haircut and get a real job... I also really love the look of well maintained dreds on guys.

If it's clean, I almost *always* like it.
I like big fluffy 'Fros, too.

I hate my long hair. I now have an appreciation for the trouble my wife goes through, as her hair is down to her waist. Mine is only mid-back, but it is a royal pain!
Fortunately, my diet must be good because the darn yellow stuff is pretty much indestructible. I do nothing to care for it besides cheap shampoo and condititioner, then rip a brush through it while still damp. Finally, it gets tied back (still damp) into a pony tail as tight as I can pull the little black rubber-band thingy. Despite the abuse, it stays thick and soft on the rare occasion that I pull the pony tail out.
I don't know why I even keep it any more, except that it took so long to grow. I want short hair again, but I put so much effort into this mop that it seems a shame. The only use it has is when I pull it out in the water. Having a long mane helps intimidate other surfers out of dropping in on you.
But I dream of the days when drying off meant just rubbing a towl over my head ONCE, or 1 minute out in the sun!

To you or any others who are considering "taking it off" - please consider donating your hair to Locks of Love. It goes to making wigs for children who have no hair. It is very simple to do, and they describe what you need to do on their website.
I have grown my hair down to past the "dimples" and will be giving up much of it to Locks of Love in the near future.

Love long hair on guys.
And ditto the Locks of Love suggestion. One of my sons grew his hair very long and when he got it cut (into a mohawk, bleached blond with green tips, no less) he donated his hair. It's a wonderful act of love.

I donated (free haircut!) the last time it got to 10 inches. If I don't destroy it with dyes, I'll donate this longer shock too.

Thanks!
I'm going to grow mine long again. Not down my back but shoulder length.

There is a today a fashion for masculine bald hair à la Terry Salavas (some even wax their skull like leather shoes). YUK! how can women be attracted to that ?

If my boyfriend ever cut his hair to where it was just a couple of inches left, I might be inclined to mutilate him. Long hair just seems to suit him, just like short hair seems to suit others.
