my Dad always says a really beautiful woman can go bald and still be beautiful BUt all the rest of ya keep it shoulder length or longer.

my hub would cry if I cut my hair short ...think I would cry too! =)

my hair has never been shorter then right at my shoulders. I can't grow it much longer than mid-upper arm because it gets stringy

I saw a petite, older woman at Sam's Club today. She had an olive complexion and very short salt & pepper hair. It looked like she has a very thick head of hair. The style was very flattering on her.

It looks great on some women. A good friend of mine has super short hair and it looks amazing. For myself I prefer and look better with long hair.

I don't think short hair on women looks butch and neither does long hair on men look gay. Maybe it depends on the age of the commenter, what we have become used to.

Halle Berry, in my estimation, looks so much better with short, short, hair. It gives her eyes more accent.

Some women, also, have long hair and do not have the time to keep it well. The longer your hair is the greater the mess in a wind. Bleached and dyed hair, if also long, must also be conditioned and dead ends trimmed regularly.

Older women, generally, look younger when hair is pulled back from the temples and shorter and lighter, even though long hair, in itself, is a younger look.

I have seen older women in bueautiful long hair, but there have been times in which, seen only from behind, a woman with gorgeous hair looks young and when she turns around, she is older. Sometimes that is a let-down. So there is probably a sort of balance to be hit, considering your age, when you choose a hairstyle.

short hair is very attractive on women if they are fit.

I like very very short hair on black women. It suits their features. The shortest hair I like on most white or european women is like Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday. Precious!

Absolutely! Halle Berry looks much better with short hair, as does Angela Bassett. Toni Braxton was very hot with short hair but when she grew it long, she started to look more ordinary.

Speaking of which, have you seen any photos of The Flamingo hotel in Vegas lately? Toni Braxton has a show there and her picture is plastered over the WHOLE side of the building! It's mondo disturbing.

I love the look of super short hair... I'm envious of women who can pull it off. I on the other hand would just look like a man.

Thats pretty much what I said. Heck, many women could go bald and still look good if they are fit.
