Default At what age should you stop with the long hair?

Hello all,
I am a 35 year old female with hair past my shoulders. I look very young which I am very thankful but I would like to look my age not 20. I have an appt for a hair cut next week. Should I cut my hair into a cute bob or leave it longer. I think wearing my hair longer just makes me look younger. Don't get me wrong I don't want to look old I just want to look my age.

I had hair down past my shoulders and I got tired of it just looking boring. So, I called my hair stylist and made an appt. I got it cut in a graduated bob (shorter in back and longer in front). Didn't take much length off the front but the back is now above my shoulders and it looks amazing. Great cut and I got it colored pretty dark - I love it! I think before, even though everyone of my friends and family were against me taking off the length (about 5 inches), afterwards they all said that I look great again! LOL

It's totally up to you! But I would definetly say try the cute bob. It's flirty, fashionable and classy.

Don't believe that myth that you should cut your hair as you get older! Look at Jayne Seymore. She's much older and looks great with long hair. I personally want to be one of those old ladies with long silver hair that I'd wear up in a granny bun. But it's up to you!

I think alot of ex hippies still have really long Marcia Brady hair but it looks silly if you are over 30. Cut it, SHORT!

It really is a matter of personal preference. I find short hair to be more time consuming. They will bury me with my ponytail.

I had a long hair and my hair got longer very quickly .
I used to cut my hair since I was 35 ( like your age), because I look younger .I am 39 now. but it is not necessary to go with this rules maybe you don't need to .cut your hair the way you like it . In my opinion you should cut your hair but not too short.

I would get it cut a little bit of at a time.
Your neck size and look may shock you.
Having longer hair can make it look thinner and hide age issues with its shadows.

If you like your hair then don't cut it. If anything, get long layers. I'm 40 - have long, black hair. I don't get it cut, because the coloring for so many years naturally creates a cut - breaks off here and there. I know that sounds horrible, but it's pretty health hair over all.

For me, I personally look younger with long hair. The few times I've cut it short I've regretted it and my husband has hated it. Friends who see old pictures of me say I looked much older when my hair was shorter.

Stick with what makes YOU happy - not what you think you should do. If you are really wanting to cut it though, I think the idea of doing it gradually is a good one.

Short usually is cute and stylish...Long is long and boring... Get a cute inverted bob (think Jenny McCarthy)...
