Has anyone used the Fekki brush or Mason Pearson? Both look good. I was trying to get some opinions from people who have used either one. The Fekki brush was named the best straightening Hairbrush in Allure Magazine's "Best of Beauty".

The Fekki brush runs around $100 and the Mason Pearson a little more but you can pick both up cheaper on EBay.

Depends on what you're using it for. Since I've been going to the Frederic Fekkai salon, I bought a Fekkai brush.

Well, my hair gets "fly away ends" in the winter time and I'm looking for a brush the will help smooth the ends. I have been using Biolage smoothing shampoo and Cond. which helps quite a bit.

I just bid on the Fekkai brush on EBay and won the classic size for $45 and free shipping. Doing some research it looks like the retail price is around $95.

Any other opinions on either brush?

Oh let us know how it works out.

You should try deep conditioning treatments on just your ends.

Do you use any finishing spray or leave-ins? That will get the final few fly aways.
~Aussie spray leave-in ♥ - soft, flows like baby hair , my favorite
~Bumble & Bumble Tonic - Has more of a body to it - on eBay for cheaper and folica too.
~Johnson & Johnson No More Tangles - very mild and I love it

I want the soft boar hair mason pearson...I think it may be the box....

I'm glad you won but I don't think I would pay 95.00 for a hair brush though

Good point. A lot of times you don't, it does come in the original box so that made me feel like it was more legit but I guess you could probably make a fake one of those as well. Here's the brush I won: Fekkai Classic Brush, New in Box, $95, Bath & Body Work - eBay (item 220332783548 end time Dec-27-08 05:04:57 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&it em=220332783548 - broken link)

I have thick, long, wavy hair and purchased the Mason Pearson classic boar/nylon bristle brush for untangling my hair. Love it. Worth the money. Best brush I have ever had. Paid something like $134, but I plan to pass it down to any granddaughters if I have one. It lasts forever I understand.

Here is something that will help with smoothing your hair out:

Glossing™ Cream by Frédéric Fekkai

I think it's available at Bath and Body as well as Sephore and Ulta. I think the Mason Pearson brush is best for thicker hair. I have one and it's great. But I also have the Fekkai brush and it's great as well.
