Sometimes magazines force those of us with straight hair to perm it. It goes both ways

I've stopped listening. I think curly haired people should do the same. I like to be stylish but I will never again chemically curl my hair.

I say, go with what you have.

With that said, I think there has never been more latitude when it comes to hair as there is now. Look in any fashion magazine and I promise you will see models with straight and curly hair.

In the late 60s and early 70s, straight hair ruled. Before that, curly hair had always been the standard of beauty. In the late 70s, Farrah Faucet hair was in the rage - and to have that you needed slightly wavy or curly hair. That style did not work with very curly hair or strait hair. Then came the Big 80s. Which kind of never left.

Now I do what I like.

Last weekend my friend went to get her hair straighten and she met her mom's friend who was there to get her hair perm. We all wants what we don't have.

I myself have curly hair and I love it. I don't even comb my hair lolz just finger through the wave.

If it is important to you to stay on top of trends, then you are by definition emulating others. That's what trends are.

I like my curly hair and I think if I take care of it in a proper way, it looks great. But I straighten it from time to time (according to my mood and occasion) using a hair straightening brush. I used to think it wouldn't be efficient, but I can say I was wrong. In case someone is looking for the brush, I can recommend to check a good review on https://therighthairstyles.com/hair-straightening-brush/. It helped me to compare the most popular of them and to make the right choice.

I’ve tried straightening my hair, but it looks boring when it is all straight. The only time it looked good straight, was when I had it cut into a bob. But now it’s longer, it looks better with a bit of body and few waves in it.
