I dye my hair to cover the grey, as the grey becomes more pervasive, it has changed the entire texture of my hair. I often look in the mirror and wonder whose hair I have. My hair used to be BONE straight and looked greasy most of the time in that it was so flat.
I have decided to grow my hair back out and get one of those dryer attachments that called a diffuser, it will put some wave into it and that might be all I need but I will remember the advice about the flat iron.

The flat iron only works on longish hair. Mine is shoulder-length. Forgot that lil' detail.

It might take me some time but that has been my goal to get it below my shoulder, like maybe down to my bra strap. I used to wear it like that and did some really cool up dos as well.

Thank all of you for your pieces of advice!

As I said, surprisingly enough, my hair looks healthier and shinier after the iron's been through it...
|
I am not that confident that my hair will look the same because it is very thin and it burns easily! But that flat iron you showed me...wow I really liked it! Unfortunately I live in Romania and I don't think they can ship me across the ocean a flat iron ! You are so lucky that you can have acces to such various options!

How about a body wave? Or try one of the curling shampoos and conditioners as well as using a curling iron and some gel after washing but do not dry it completely throw on the gel while your hair is still wet and fluff it up turn your head upside down and put on some more underneath do the same thing and then just let it sit do not comb it out see what happens. I already tried with curling iron and mousse and hair spray but it doesn't lasts more than a day! But I will try after washing it to throw on some mousse and not to dry it ...hopefully it will get at least wavy.

Guys, as I was playing on the Relationships forum, I realized I need to revise my advice. Those curls definitely can make it through a day, or two, or even three, but they don't make it under "extreme circumstances"...

Exactly. And getting a loose spiral perm from someone who knows what they are doing is much better on the hair than using a hot curling iron or flat iron every day in the long run, not to mention less work on a daily basis.
