I always get a foil with two or three color but I am sort of thinking of getting an all over color just to try it out. I am a big advocate of foil, but, with a few grays popping and very humid air it seems like I always have wild curly hair and I wondered if an all over color would tame? I don't know what are some thoughts

Are just wanting highlights (frosted) or you just want the whole entire new color?
It depends what you really want. I prefer all over, because those highlights grow out too fast and it's hard to it yourself after. I always get an all over job. Because when my roots grow out and I can just do it myself next time and no worries about missing an area.

I'm thinking all over maybe going a little deeper red rather than blonde with red highlights...I like to mix it up a bit.

After doing highlights for years, I switched to all-over color. For me, highlights were more high maintenance than all over color. Also, I really hate my natural color---it's a very ashy blonde----and even with highlights the ash still drove me nuts.

As Lina said, it depends what you like.
I am into low maintenance.
I embrace my dishwater blond curls along with the grey, so I am down to a few foil highlights only twice a year.

Well as of yesterday I went with an all over color of bright betty Boop hair I have not washed it yet since I want it to set in for a bit. I never met the hairdresser before since I am on vacation in VA from NH so she was pretty dubious about making such a "crazy color" change . I think she realized I am very experienced in color and I was ok with major change in fact with all that has been going on in my life I needed a change badly. I feel like it has given me the ok to be a different person at least for a bit. I woke up today for the first time without an anxiety attack
