I'm looking to purchase a new Farouk Chi 1" flat iron off of Ebay. I'm looking to buy from a seller with a 100% rep and a seller from within the US.
Has anyone bought their Chi off of Ebay and been pleased with their purchase?
I have had good experiences with Ebay, but also wanted to know if you did buy your Chi off of Ebay and are happy with the purchase...what seller did you buy it from???
Its worth it because of you can return it if it fails, you get some extras with it, and you know its real.
It has fakes info on the website too.
Such a good point. I came across that website during my searches too. Not a bad price at all. Don't laugh...but I am not familiar with Folica are they a major beauty product seller?
Never mind...I found the information I was looking for on the Folica website!

Reason: found information
Well I find so many new discovery stores myself everyday online so I promise not to chuckle. Folica is nice though with prices of higher end things from what I have seen shopping around. I like how the website is laid out too.
I wanted a CHI but couldn't see spending that kind of money. I did a little research and found that Sally Beauty has a brand called GVP and so I researched it, read reviews which were all good (and just as good as CHI) and ended up getting their version of the CHI. Guess what? It's great and was only $65. I use it everyday and it's so nice. I am glad I went with this one. I got the pink swirling hearts GVP flat iron. Great value and great product.
I would feel safer spending a little more money and buying from Folica then off of Ebay. At least with Folica you can 1. trust that it is authentic and 2. have a return policy/warranty to fall back on. In addition to Chi's warranty, Folica offers their own 30 days no questions asked returns and a one year return policy where you send the product back directly to them and not the manufacturer.

ABSOLUTELY the way to go! I've had several pro's complain that CHI does not last nearly as long as it should for the $ & Sally has great products that many pro's use & for over half the price.
Unless you are one of those who just HAS TO HAVE name brand, I would definitely go with what Sally has to offer.
