Yes, it is a very cool beach. I went there today and enjoyed it very much. I'm visiting friends here , as I grew up here in Va. Beach. The waves were good today, there were skimboarders, bodyboarders, and families. A beautiful day at Sandbridge beach today. I will take the memory back to Charleston, Sc with me as I go back to my family there. Happy 4th of July...we'll be watching them somewhere like the oceanfront or Mt. Trashmore.

Just as well what? I haven't been to Sandbridge in a long time. I've only been there off season, so it was really quiet.

sandbridge's too far, way too far from the highway, and that's might be good. If VDOT approves to build highway from Battlefield/Greenbrier to Sandbridge, then sandbridge aint gonna to be in top 10 anymore lol

I was at Sandbridge for a week back in the late '80s. We had a place by the bay, overlooking a canal. The first night we were there, we had a spectacular thunderstorm and the lightning display over the bay was gorgeous.

While seated on the toilet, one felt the sensation of the house moving, since the house was on stilts. A really funny feeling.

There was a bakery truck that stopped in the morning and a man brought a tray of rolls and pastries door to door.

Certainly the place to go for a restful vacation. I can't imagine that anyone was allowed to build condos there!

I'm not surprised although 35+ years ago, it was the locals best kept secret. Unfortunately that secret spread! I used to go to Sandbridge everyday after school.
