ZING! Ooh, that "sanitary sewer" still strikes a nerve with me. I asked that question a long time ago and never finished researching. I know it's a separate line or something, but that's it. Why the double billing???

Maybe I should try calling one or the other (or both) and ask that question. It's confusing because it seems like double billing to me too.

Since wife pays our bills I rarely look @ them. Our last water bill that I just found was for 12/2/11-3/01/12- That's three months. The total paid to JCSA and HRSD was $120.97 for a total of 12,450 gallons.
This is for wastewater, sewer service and water.
We are a family of four that uses the dishwasher and washing machine quite often.
$40 monthly seems pretty reasonable...
JCSA is the water supplier for most of James City County.

Default Service Available

I called and ask what this was. I am not sure if the lady even knew. She told me that is for them making the water available to this locations..........sound like a crock to me. I ask her if this money was used for repairs to which she replied if repairs were needed on the city side they would make them. Like I said, I don't think she was the sharpest tack in the box.

The Sanitary sewer service is the garbage pickup. It is a charge multiplied by the number of billing days. I ask that one too..........lol.

Interesting. This is in which city? This January, our city just started charging residents $10 a month for trash pickup.

When we moved here from CT, I actually called HRSD because I thought we had a faulty meter. The water bill is around double what we paid up north!

Start washing you smaller clothing items in the sink, it saves money. Just wash jeans in the washer.
