I daresay that Pat Robertson's Anti-Snow machine appears to be out of commission for this winter-y season. We have had three snow "storms" and there's more storm on the way.

After yesterday's Snowpocalypse, I feel the need to re-iterate the point (perhaps not to the people here, but to drivers as a whole): If you don't know how to handle your vehicle in icy conditions, get your butt off the road.

As I was leaving the base yesterday, somebody in a black SUV took a left turn and started spinning because he was moving too fast for the conditions. He almost took out two vehicles. My friend's mother was hit by a person who was following too closely, hit a patch of ice, and slammed on their brakes... which, the brakes worked; wheels stopped spinning. Problem is, the car didn't stop moving.

I think Pat is smokin' too much of that wacky tobacky! My son and I have been taking turns shoveling. I think he'll be glad to go back to Little Rock AFB in a few days.

Default Snow. Again.

Ten inches on our back deck since this stuff began last night. This is the Elizabeth River Shores area.

I'm a Texas gal and this is WAY, WAY more than I'm used to. However, our yellow lab seems to really like it. She gets out in it, runs, jumps, prances around, uses her nose like a snowplow and then eats snow.

Goofy dog.

Haha.... I have a chocolate lab and was thinking that she would love to play in the snow if I still lived in HR. I can imagine her acting silly in the snow!

Hope you all stay safe! I heard the roads are pretty bad.

As long as people remember that water freezes at nite when the temps drop and stay off the roads as they are told to do, no one should be getting killed...well, that's only if they do what they're told.
