We love Alexanders for special occasions. Of course always ejonyed the heck out of The Duck Inn, hated to see that go, but that is progress. One word of caution is the traffic on Shore Dr. There always seems to be some fatalities from car crashes there. Guess it is a popular way home after a night of clubbing.

My friends would go to Duck Inn once in a while after work. I always passed by over the bridge and saw people kicking back, enjoying themselves. I regret not going.

Both are good, OFTF is very trendy, w/ good food and views. Hot Tuna is a fixture. I have gone there a couple times a year for 15 or so years, and never had poor service.

Also try Smokehouse Cooler for great food and later bar scene.

every place has butt heads, don't be mad because of 4 people (probably drunk). I don't like Hot Tuna. Their portions are small for the price you pay. Alexanders IS nice and we had gone there for our anniversary. Worth the money and you don't see shorts and flip flops. Try Croakers and Charlies on shore dr. You won't be disappointed.

I love the Chick's beach area by the way! Neat little beach community.
I thought that was Myrtle Beach? I don't like Myrtle Beach... none at all. That place is annoying.

@jhrichmond: I feel in love with this area. I had a lot of work down there when I first moved here and got to do my job and go to the beach in the same day. I have to say that while this area looks nothing like home, it certainly has that feel for me. The people are friendly and helpful if you lose your way. Trust me, I've been lost many-a-time here. Congrats on the new home and don't be a stranger.
