looking for vacation home on Eastern shore (Virginia Beach, Norfolk: real estate, condo)

I live in Smithfield and am looking for a getaway vacation home on the Eastern Shore - Cape Charles, Onancock? Any input regarding that region would be appreciated including real estate and housing opportunities. Thank you!

My parents have a summer home in Silver Beach out at the end of Rte 183. It's a nice but very quiet area. I think there are a couple of houses available in the area.

I too am looking for real estate on the eastern shore VA. The are seems to be low in crime if not practically crime free. Jobs may be scarce though. I have done a lot of research regarding this area. However, realtors have not been helpful when I inquire. about homes that need repair. So it has been frustrating. Houses seem to be priced fairly inexpensive. Let me know if you have any luck or suggestions in my search as well.

Try the Shore Drive area in Norfolk for houses that need some work. We just bought a weekend home in Virginia Beach on the Chesapeake Bay, where we found a 30 year old condo with a gorgeous view that needs some TLC. We paid $50K less than asking price. We looked for about a year, so I am very familiar with the market in that area. If you want more info send me a PM.
