Question Living in Chesapeake

I am about to be relocating to Chesapeake from Cleveland, OH. I'm very concerned about being able to find affordable housing in a safe area. It seems that the apartments that I find in the price range I would like to pay
($600- $700) are in questionable areas. I don't need a large apartment, I just need a small 1br efficiency. If anybody could give me some tips or information on finding apartments in Chesapeake, I would be greatly appreciative. Also appreciated would be any other information about the Chesapeake area that a new person would want to know.

Try pilotonline.com and check out the classifieds for "rentals" (not the apartment listings which will just send you to apartments.com).

You might also check out craigslist.org and see what they have listed under Hampton Roads, Chesapeake.

Good luck! Finding an affordable place in Chesapeake is a difficult thing to do. I'm about ready to look for another place myself as my affordable apartment has become an undesirable place to live.
