Every local has their own little spot in the summer time to enjoy the beach away from the tourist. You will find that most locals want nothing to do with the "Strip" between late June to after Labor day...chicks beach, sandbridge even the beaches in NC are all local favorites that most of the visiting tourist know little about or will ever set foot on.
