Default babysitter needed

I am new to Suffolk, near the downtown area, and I need to find a babysitter. I would like to find someone just part time in the evenings for now and more down the road someone during the day (I'm a teacher). Right now my fiance is staying home with our 10 month old son but eventually will be back to work. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good sitter it would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try your local church. Some have groups of teens that take p/t sitting jobs.

Also, craigslist?

Good Luck

I would not post your full name like that online, Amanda. Please just ask the person to dm you.

It is a dangerous place out there on the world of the internet. CD is a very nice place, but just as you found it, so could others.

Please reconsider how you post info online.

Be safe.

Regarding Amanda.......She had one post, used her last name and didn't bother to spell check- despite being home schooled?? Clearly this person is not worthy of watching children!!!

I hope you find someone good to watch your children!!

The recommendation of looking at local churches is a great suggestion. You might also visit some local high schools and check with the guidance department. Many times schools will let students know of jobs available in the area. You also have the added advantage of knowing more about the job applicant from people who are more familiar with him/her.

Amen Bikes! I am a CPR Instructor and I must say, that everyone should take a class thru your Red Cross or American Heart Assoc. Chapters! If you have been certified a few years ago, take the course again! You can never be over educated in saving a life!

William and Mary has a website where you can post a small ad that is given out to the students at the college. You will have to search for the website, but I know several people who have gone this way to find sitters.
