I'm kicking off this thread with the lineup for the Hampton Block Party. The party runs 6-11 p.m. on Saturday nights through Sept. 1. Admission is free. The street party takes place along Queensway in downtown Hampton. It includes beer and food vendors as well as children’s activities.

Every half mile, volunteers will throw dyed corn starch onto runners, along with a machine that will shoot bursts of vibrant colors – a total of 10 hues and 1,000 pounds of starch.
