I prefer MacArthur Mall, for the tourists. Then again, I people watch no matter where I find myself. I people watch at Military Circle; I once saw someone there with a cell phone plugged into one of the columns just talking away. I didn't even realize that there were electrical sockets outside of the stores.

Usually a mall is a reflection of the neighborhood. If the people have any discretionary income whatsoever, they support their mall. If they're broke, you see them at Dollar General.

On the other hand, if the mall is prone to crime, such as large gangs of teenagers, or shoot outs in the middle of the afternoon, younger kids will go there but no one over 30 will. So there are a variety of contributing factors.

I never knew that either. I wonder if most malls have them or if it's unique to that mall?
