Cool Moving to VB soon - Can you help us narrow down where we should live?

Greetings comrades,

My boyfriend and I are moving to Virginia Beach next month and we would like to get some opinions about the areas/complexes we'd like to check out when we visit next weekend. We came down in March and have an idea of the areas we like. Please feel free to suggest any other locations and/or apartment complexes you think we should look at. Or, if you know of any rental properties (e.g. town homes/condos/duplexes/single-family homes) that are currently available, please let us know! We really like the Chicks Beach/Shore Dr. area, as well as Ocean Front. Mainly, zip codes 23455/23454/23451.

Some background info on us and what we're looking for:

-We are both in our early 20s
-We'd like to keep the rent below $900
-1BR/1BA or 2BR/2BA
-Washer/Dryer hookup inside the apartment is a definite plus
-We have a very nice and well-behaved, declawed kitty. Apparently, a lot of complexes/rental homes in the area are not pet friendly

**Question: Is the jet noise completely unbearable near Ocean Front? Meaning, will we eventually get accustomed to it, or will it make us want to rip out our eardrums?

Apartment complexes we're looking at:

1. The Palms
3600 Malibu Palms Drive
Virginia Beach, VA

2. Marina Shores
2257 Willow Oak Cir
Virginia Beach, VA 23451

3. Colonial Arms
800 Colonial Arms Cir
Virginia Beach, VA

4. Legends at the Beach
3124 Hunters Chase Drive
Virginia Beach, VA

5. Ocean Trace
225 Old Virginia Beach Road
Virginia Beach, VA

If you think any of the aforementioned apartments would not be a good place to live, could you please list a few reasons as to why you feel this way? We are really looking forward to moving to the area and would appreciate any feedback you'd care to provide.

Thanks!

We used to live at legends at the beach the jet noise is unbearable! Plus the parking was a mess. You got 1 assigned spot and then a pass for an empty spot for your other car. You better get home early or you won't get a spot. Also don't leave on the weekend unless you take the car in your assigned spot. You had to get a pass to have company, and you can count on getting towed if you don't I kid you not someone ran in to drop something off, no more than 5 min, and their car was poof before we knew it. They must have come down on their rents though because ours was 1200 for a 2/2.

Out of those listed Colonial Arms is your best bet.
