I am currently taking Automotive Classes at Thomas Nelson. I am looking for an apprenticeship due to fact I have very limited hands on experience besides replacing numerous parts on my last vehicle. I am currently working at Wal-Mart TLE in Williamsburg. I have been there for about 1 1/2 years and I feel I am ready to move on to a more promising job in the automotive field. I need help finding Mom & Pop (privately owned) shops that are looking for help. The farthest I am willing to drive is Newport News/Hampton. I have looked online and the only jobs listed are for big name dealerships which you must have a 2 year apprenticeship under your belt to qualify for.

Thanks in Advance!

Call American Pride Automotive in Williamsburg. They just opened their third location in Toano..., worth a shot.

Crow's is only looking for help on Tuesdays & Thursdays. I'm taking classes 2 classes on those days so he won't hire me. I dropped by the Auto Clinic on Longhill and they said to check back in a couple months, and they'd be more than happy to hire me on and train me.

I'll drop by and see how business is first. I'm looking for a shop that isn't slammed all day long so I can actually have some 1-on-1 training with a certified technician.
