Dabbling with the idea of purchasing property at either location. Lots of folks in Ghent believe the area's up and coming with ODU expanding and wanted to get some more local insights.

Lynnhaven Shores hands down.... Real estate is all about location, location, location when investing.....waterfront, or close to water front will always win both short and long term... Ghent, is just Ghent.... The same story is being told today that has been told for the last 30 years, that Ghent is up and coming..... Well it must be a heck of a long trip..... Lol

Location, taxes, schools, things to do..... Those 4 things are always toward the top of anyone's list when looking to buy property......again Lynnhaven Shores wins over Ghent every time

I always hate stats since there are so many factors that can alter them. But here is a cursory review sales prices for homes in both areas. The numbers are from our area MLS. REIN
These are averages not medians. Would have preferred median but it wasnt on the report I ran.
