Default When are the fall colors at peak in Williamsburg area?

I'm booking another exploratory trip down there. Can go anytime in October or early November, and figured I might as well catch some fall color (since you just know we're going to be out kayaking ). What's a good time? Is the last week in October too early to see any color?
