Hello everyone...

I may be heading down to Virginia Beach for the upcoming long weekend; will there be much to do in the winter? Obviously many places will be closed, but will there at least be a few bars and clubs to go to on a Sunday night before a holiday?

Pretty much almost everything is open except for the tourist trap smaller places. Almost every club is open as usual.

Keep in mind there's also more than just the Oceanfront. Like Ted said, the clubs will remain open, but that's more or less your only options along the strip, and they're kinda tucked in, not in the open.

If you don't mind heading about 10 mins. up the Interstate, you have quite a few options in Town Center. There's a few nice bars and clubs there, as well as restaurants and a comedy club...

Well I was hoping to find a hotel near the main strip. I want to be able to walk to any bar or club because I don't like driving after drinking...even a couple beers. I might consider a short taxi ride somewhere too.

Fair enough. I think you'll still be fine then. Catch 31 is always a good option, and there's other bars in the hotels or in between the tourist shops. The ones between shops are more hole in the walls, but you still have quite a few options.

Actually, I recommend Shaka's, at (I *think*) 19th or so. It's right when you get off 264 (can never remember what numbered street that is).

I'll be staying near 28th, so it shouldn't be too long of a walk. I'm hoping to find a nice bar to watch the Patriots game and then a decent club for later. I hope I won't be surrounded by too many Ravens fans

Hey man, have a good time, and you can over to Shore Drive too, which is very cool. There are places over near Chick's Beach that are very cool you can watch the game at places on Shore Drive like Shorebreak Sports Bar.

But, there will be more Raven's fans for Sure! Baltimore is on the East Coast and is the underdog, and on the Chesapeak Bay.
