I love Williamsburg, and if I could find a job up there in my field, I'd move from VB in less than a second.

Why I like Va Bch....well its close to Hatteras where I spend a better part of my summer.....LOL

OK...well its home, its where I raised my family...Being here for so many years I know the area.........But this area is nothing special.... many people try and make it out to be that way compared to many other places in the country but I just dont see it......Thats about it...I cant think of anything else that interest me that I cant find in any other city or area of the country.........

I am looking foward to moving from this area in a few years.....not because I dont like the area because I do......if I didnt I would of left years ago............I am just looking foward to the next chapter in my life and that chapter does not inclued this area

I can relate I grew up in Va Beach lived there from 1960 til 1980. Then lived in Northern VA, Suburban MD, Annapolis Md from 80-2003 and Williamsburg since then. Va Beach has changed so much from what it was when I grew up both good and bad. It is nice being closer to the Outer Banks we go to Corolla whenever we can.

Anything from General IT to Telephony to Databases and Technical Management (but not software programming). Right now I'm in an MIS role.

I'd be willing to do anything in the field to be able to move up there. My family and I just love the area. It's tough to get on with any company up there as they don't really advertise positions that I've seen.

Thanks Mr. Williamsburg! I know of Jefferson Labs, I didn't realize it was so close to Williamsburg, and that salary range is within my expectations for moving to a new job in the area. I will definitely check those out.

I don't know, I always found Williamsburg to be a boring country area...Outside of Busch Gardens, and their so called "downtown" their's nothing there..I like to see a lot of people and lights..I guess it just depends on your preference.

ToughLuv - For a large variety of things to do, I guess you need to read Mr. Wiliamsburg's post - there are lots of things to do and Williamsburg has grown and continues growing tremendously.
