We are relocating to the area and are unsure about a few different neighborhoods like the whole "Stonehouse" deal. Is that a subdivision or town? Or I also saw Mill pond at Stonehouse. Its confusing. We also saw (online) a development called White Hall, it looks nice.Anyone have thought on this one? We are looking for a community with amenities, safety, and great schools. Our budget seems small for the area I think. Looking to stay under 250,000 Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm kind of surprised no one has responded to your questions.
Maybe this will help some: Stonehouse “A Toano /Williamsburg Va Neighborhood Spotlight” | Mr Williamsburg, Blogging on Life and Real Estate in Williamsburg and Hampton Roads Virginia
As a planned community, it may have a master association whose members consist of sub-associations within the planned community.

Here's an older thread, but it may answer some of your questions:
Stonehouse subdivision in Toano, VA

Good luck.

Stonehouse will be out of your price range if you are wanting to stay 250k or less. White Hall offers town homes and detached homes, Town homes and Condos starts in the $175k range, Detached starts around $240k. Its been quite popular lately. With many new homes being built in the last 2 years. Its a front porch walkable neighborhood with small lots. Eventually an old historic home on the property will become the clubhouse, pool and tennis courts are planned at will be built soon. The town homes and condos are across Rochambeau from the detached home neighborhood. Its convenient to exit 227 on 64, but to go to the movies, major shopping, restaurants etc you have to travel 15 miles or so. To put things into perspective homes here are much less expensive than New Town so its a trade off..

The western part of the county is where all future growth will be. There isnt much retail there now but much is planned. There are 3500+ unbuilt building lots planned in Stonehouse alone along with a town center etc. That is all right down the street from White Hall
