Under $750 a month? You might be able to find that in a property the landlord owns outright. Anything a landlord is still paying on they are going to pass that cost onto you. I was paying $850 in Virginia Beach for a two bedroom, no pets allowed, and it wasn't that nice of a neighborhood. Old property built in the 1940s.

I'm not even sure if you can get something decent out in the suburbs for that price. There's a complex out in Gloucester Point going for $726, 2 beds.

You can get stuff that cheap in the actual cities of Hampton Roads, particularly on the Peninsula, but the neighborhoods might not be that great. All depends on what you're into and what you're willing to deal with.
