GREAT (not good) RESTAURANTS
I have had the opportunity to live in a couple of places (Monterey/San Fran, Chicago) with restaurants the are outstanding (food=heaven kind of places).
I would love to go out with my husband (no kids) to a place like that here. I'm talking about a place with a real chef that is not a chain. So I think that all of VB Town Center restaurants would not qualify.
I've been to a couple of nice places. The one that stands out is Vintage Tavern in Suffolk of all places (not Vintage Kitchen--tried that & it was okay). Food and drink was spectacular. Service was outstanding. Beautiful place--love the patio.
Any foodies with other nominations????

I always like Chowning Tavern there in the old district.
I believe they have an outside dining patio area with trellises and you can enjoy colonial style cooking. It was delicious, everything from peanut or pumpkin soups to the chicken entrees with fresh fruits like apples, etc.
Scrumptious stuff. I think that's Chowning if not there are others.

Across from the old Cavalier Hotel at the North End of the Oceanfront in VB is the newer Cavalier Hotel on the water. The older one sits slightly up on a hill and has grand old elegance as a landmark. The new one overlooking the ocean at the top has a restaurant named "Orion's Roof".
This is excellent and elegant dining with a tremendous view, but not too overly formal.
On Sundays they have a grand brunch and the day view is as good as the night's over the ocean and up and down the Oceanfront. They used to have this Sunday brunch buffet, it's been a few years though since there at Orion's Roof.
